ADULT SPRINT RACING! We are looking into beginning adult sprint racing on Saturday mornings this summer.  We have an adult sprint available for sale on our "For Sale" page.  If interested or looking for more information call the kart shop at 920-720-0085 and leave a message.

IN CASE OF RAIN! During our race season, if racing is questionable due to the weather call the kart shop (720-0085), wait for the answering machine for track information.  Cancellations will be announced at 4:45 pm but please do not call before 4:45 pm as this ties up the answering machine and the message can't be recorded.

RACE NIGHT INFORMATION! The gate to the track is open by 5:00 pm, drivers and pit people may come, pay pit fees and begin kart prep.  By 6:00 pm all drivers should have signed in at concession stand, paid pit/race fees, signed in at scoring table and be gathered in bleachers for drivers meeting (a parent should also be present for the drivers meeting).  Racing will start promptly between 6:15-6:30 pm.

Veteran kart racers or new kart builders, if you are looking for graphics to spruce up your kart contact club member Ken Sankey at 725-9347.

Directions to the track: A link to our track map can be found under "Race Info" on our home page.

Medical Forms!  Just a reminder to turn in medical history forms to the first aid attendant at the kart track (this is strictly voluntary but would greatly help in the event of an injury).  If you did not receive one at the track you may download a copy from this site, print it, fill it our and return it to the track. MEDICAL HISTORY FORM

URGENT NOTICE! Per insurance notification: all helmets worn for racing on the Kids Kart Club track must have a "Snell 95" or higher rating (the rating will be stamped/marked on the helmet).

ENGINE MODIFICATIONS!  After a lengthy discussion at the spring meeting regarding how to handle the policing and inspection of engines for any type of modification a consensus was reached.  At this time we will rely on a "Gentleman's Agreement" that no modifications will be made to any kart engine racing at the Kids Kart Club track.  It was still left open on a per group basis that with a two thirds majority agreement, further engine inspection may take place if deemed necessary.  Also more research will be conducted as to the feasibility and accuracy of a device suggested by Kurt Schweitzer to measure engine horse power without disassembly.

CARBURETOR SPRING If you are having problems with fowling spark plugs in the 5 hp Tecumseh engine used on the beginner kart, there is a fix for it.  The cause is float bounce in the carburetor while driving on a rough track. Tecumseh has come up with a fix, installing a damper spring on the float hinge pin in the carburetor.  The Tecumseh part # for the spring is 632386 and is available at most hardware stores that handle Tecumseh parts (it will have to be ordered however).  NOTE: do not install the spring if you are not having problems as this will also cause problems!  Here are the instructions for installing the float damper spring as well as adjusting the float level.  TECUMSEH CARB SPRING
